World War II, Commence!

It seems that not much time has passed since the last World War was fought, but there is no denying that this will turn into a global conflict. Already, Great Britain and my own country, France, have declared war on Nazi Germany and Hitler for their invasion of Poland. There is nothing I can do but serve my country in the best way possible and hope that, like the last war, our side shall prevail over Germany, who seems to be unable to keep itself out of trouble due to its aggression.

Alas, at the moment I am but a colonel in the army. Nevertheless, I do have my own tank regiment to command. I plan to put a number of my own theories and tactics to use and see how well they work out on the battlefield. I have quite a good feeling about this, so I will be back soon with updates on the effectiveness of my strategies.

Great news! I have since been given command of the Fourth Armoured Division and promoted to the post of brigadier general due to the skills I have displayed on the front lines of the war. One of my attacks on May 28 succeeded in forcing the Germans to retreat back to Caumont. Sadly, this is one of the few victories we have enjoyed; all over France, Germany is gaining ground and our people are losing. However, I refuse to let Germany get the better of us and will fight and oppose them to the end.
